When Maccagnan hired Gase in January, most people in the National Football League knew Gase was not going to sit idly by - like former Jets head coach Todd Bowles often did - and watch Maccagnan and Heimerdinger try to fix what they had inadequately built over the last four years. ESPN suggests the GM position could be taken up by Philadelphia Eagles executive Joe Douglas, who has some ties to Gase.
