Borderlands 3: The Gameplay Reveal Of Gearbox In Two Days

Anyone who watches and links their Shift and Twitch accounts will get a chance to add some powerful gear to their arsenals well before they get their hands on the game later this year.

While we'd all be happy just to see some tasty destructive Borderlands 3 gameplay, you can also earn some loot thanks to the Borderlands 3 ECHOcast Twitch extension. Special loot chests will be littered throughout the game that, when opened by a streamer, will allow users to opt into a challenge. However, the company has revealed yet another new feature for the series, although this one is definitely not what we were expecting.

Gearbox Software's next shooter has the potential to be a highly streamed game and the studio is teaming up with Twitch to give it a solid rollout when it launches.

There are more ways to connect with fellow Borderlands 3 players, however.

Google confirms new Pixel handset available on 8 May
That's a shame, because the Pixel 3 and its larger cousin are really good phones with standout software and photography abilities. Again, we don't know how "bad" it is for the Pixel 3 but as Ars notes, it was "bad enough" to be mentioned in the earnings call.

Harry's tour announcement fuels speculation Baby Sussex has already been born

Gearbox Software is all set to release the Borderlands 3 game i.e. on this Wednesday.

If you don't have a Twitch account, head over to and use the "Sign Up" link at the top of the page.

Officially announced today, the ECHOcast Twitch Extension is basically an overlay that allows you to interact with Borderlands 3 live streams.

Each livestreamer will have four Red Chests hidden in their game during the reveal livestream event. While the item will be identical to that found within the chest, it will be scaled to the player's current in-game level. Thankfully, this leak was rather short and didn't show any combat, so it's unlikely to have spoiled Gearbox's plans too much. By linking your SHiFT and Twitch accounts, you can participate in the Rare Chest Event.

The actual game itself will arrive on September 13th and will be available on the Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
