Nigerian Brothers Involved in Jussie Smollett 'Attack' Sue His Attorneys For Defamation

Smollett has continued to insist that the attack was genuine and now, the Osundairo brothers are coming after his legal team for supporting what they say are "untrue" claims.

In a lawsuit filed in Chicago federal court, the Osundairo brothers charged that Smollett's attorneys Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian falsely accused them of attacking Smollett, even after the investigation was over. Police later accused Smollett of hiring the Osundairo brothers to orchestrate a fake attack for attention, leading Smollett to be indicted on charges related to filing a false police report.

Likewise, in the suit, the Osundairo brothers speak openly about the staged attack and say that Jussie Smollett paid them and planned every step of the event.

Smollett, who is black and gay, claimed January 29th that he was attacked and beaten by two masked men who shouted slurs and yelled, "This is MAGA country", an apparent reference to President Donald Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again". He maintains his innocence. Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson pushed back against the Cook County State Attorney's Office decision to drop all charges against Smollett. In a stunning about-face last month, however, Foxx's office dropped the 16-count indictment against Smollett at an unannounced court hearing on March 26.

The officers' attorney, James McKay, said the photo of Foxx and Brown together is a problem, regardless of whether she knew about his case.

For example, in an interview on the "Today" show, Glandian suggested the brothers may have been wearing "whiteface" during the attack, which might be why Smollett told police his attackers were white. The suit states that that is not true.

The brothers are Nigerian-American, and have Nigerian relatives.

Marvel Studios Releases Every End Credits Scene Ever Ahead Of 'Endgame' Release
The concept of phobic stimuli to get over one's fears has been studied in the past, but never using fantasy or comic book movies . Spider-Man was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and Ant-Man by Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, both in the 1960s.

That has riled up the boys, as they acknowledge homosexual activity is illegal in their home country of Nigeria, and not something they'd engage in. They've also been harassed by paparazzi and reporters, Schmidt said.

The lawsuit claims the brothers lost professional opportunities as a result of these and other claims, including that they used steroids.

Glandian and Geragos issued a response, vowing to "expose" the brothers for perpetrating a fraud on the public.

They said: "At first we thought this comical legal document was a parody".

Jussie's brother says there are plenty of people who support the actor and the problem lies with the "bandwagoning and tyranny of the "perceived" majority".

"We look forward to exposing the fraud the Osundairo brothers and their attorneys have committed on the public", they added.
