Luke Walton reaches agreement to coach Kings

Don't forget, Lue spent his first three seasons as a player with the Lakers winning a couple of rings in the process in 2000 and 2001.

On Friday, the least surprising of those happened, as the Lakers and coach Luke Walton agreed to "mutually part ways". Walton coached the team for three seasons, improving their record year-over-year and compiling a career record of 98-148 as a Head Coach (went 39-4 as the Golden State Warriors' Interim head coach).

A move to Sacramento then, with its young, raw roster, may be a better fit for Walton heading forward.

The tumultuous 2018-19 Los Angeles Lakers season may be over, but the circus surrounding the club continues. "This franchise and the city will always be special to me and my family".

Following Walton's departure from the Lakers, Kerr shared his thoughts on his former understudy. Johnson and Pelinka gave him an oddly constructed roster of idiosyncratic National Basketball Association veterans on one-year deals playing alongside James and several talented youngsters including Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart.

Obviously [Sunday] is the big day but at least on single lap [we have] been competitive and as a team we've been super strong. The Finn was just 0.027 seconds clear of Vettel, who was fastest in the morning by a 0.207-second margin ahead of Hamilton.

Star Wars: Final film will be 'The Rise of Skywalker'
As for the lightsaber, it will "change and evolve" during the story, but that's about all the panelists could say. However, as we know, Lucas later parted ways with Lucasfilm and the project was turned over to JJ Abrams.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Tampa Bay Lightning 4/12/19, Prediction & Odds
It's hard to imagine that the fortunes of the Blue Jackets will be reversed against the relentless Lightning in the postseason. They'll open up against the Columbus Blue Jackets, who they went 3-0 against this year and outscored 17-3 in those games .

While Walton and Johnson - who surprisingly quit in impromptu fashion Tuesday night - are out, GM Rob Pelinka is expected to stay on board.

Through it all, the Lakers were 20-14 after beating the Warriors in Oakland on Christmas Day, the game in which James was initially injured.

Walton and superstar LeBron James, it seemed, never saw eye to eye.

Walton would lose Lonzo Ball (ankle) and Brandon Ingram (blood clot in shoulder) to season-ending injuries as the Lakers had James, Ingram and Ball together for a total of only 23 games, going 15-8 during that span. As only the top eight teams in each conference make the playoffs, the Lakers will miss the postseason. "They're losing somebody who players believe in, players want to play for, but, again, he was dependent on circumstances just like all of us are, and I feel for Luke".
