Then again, the Prancing Horse the German drove in Barcelona back in March hasn't exactly been the same auto since it left Spain.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has emphasised that the squad is not daunted by the challenge it faces in Formula 1 from Ferrari this season.

"What I found fascinating about today's press conference is both Mercedes drivers were at pain to say "Ferrari are quicker on the straights". Charles Leclerc was robbed of a maiden win when a cylinder failed on his V6 engine shortly after teammate Sebastian Vettel had been relegated down the order by a spin.

"I don't really know at the moment", Hamilton said at press briefing in the Shanghai paddock.

"I think [Mercedes] are a bit nervous about this one and Baku", Chandhok told Sky Sports F1's Welcome to the Weekend.

"I wasn't happy with my performance, not happy with the feeling yet with the auto, the feeling I had in testing and so on".

"It was a surprise when we came to Australia and the vehicle wasn't anywhere near what we had in Barcelona, with the auto being very alive and unstable". I have won many times there as well, so I don't think there is something fundamental to be learned or understood. We were surprised to find ourselves faster down the straights that other people, especially with Australia having been on the back foot.

Red Bull also fuelled talk of a return to the calendar for the Dutch Grand Prix by tweeting: "Hands up if you'd like to see @Max33Verstappen get a home grand prix!?"

Global refining throughput fell by 2.5 million bpd in March on unplanned outages, especially in the United States. On Tuesday, crude oil futures for May ended down $0.42, at $63.98 a barrel, after rising to a high of $64.79.

Bruins prepare for yet another playoff matchup with Toronto
Both the Flames and Golden Knights play fast, defensively solid hockey with deep lineups seemingly built for playoff hockey. That patience we can all talk about but sometimes you have to go through it to figure out and understand what it's about.

"We are only at the third race of the season and it is very early on".

"There are always times where you happen to just not get the right vehicle set-up", he added.

"They are a little bit nervous but I think as the weekend develops we will see where they are when we get to qualifying". And to be fair the behaviour in Barcelona was very strong. But Vettel insists the vehicle will come to him as he develops a better understanding of what it can do, and played down suggestions he would have to adapt his style to the auto.

"Bahrain was already a lot better and the test afterwards gave me and us the chance to try some things".

"We need to get everything right [in China]".

"It's extremely tight at the top. The behavior in Barcelona was very strong so, hopefully, I have a better feeling in the auto this weekend".

After three races, Vettel is yet to make the podium in 2019 and remains in fifth in the driver standings, on 22 points, someway behind leader Valtteri Bottas on 44.
