The Miami Dolphins have traded quarterback Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans, Tannehill's agency Sports Trust Advisors announced Friday. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the deal is a one-year contract worth $7 million guaranteed, plus a chance to increase to $12 million based on playing time. In exchange, the Dolphins will receive a fourth-round pick in 2020 and a seventh-round pick in 2019.
The Dolphins sent Tannehill and a 2019 sixth-round pick to Tennessee.
The 30-year-old Tannehill saw action in 88 games over seven years with the Dolphins, completing 1,829-of-2,911 passes for 20,434 yards, with 123 touchdowns and 75 interceptions.
It was obvious the efforts of Tennessee Titans backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert simply weren't good enough by the end of the 2018 season.

Kaepernick last played in the National Football League in 2016. He had a wildly uneven season a year ago that ended badly.
Tannehill's skill set should fit well behind Mariota as both players rely on accuracy and movement to succeed.
Well, except one quarterback who's been sitting on the sidelines for the last two years, waiting for his next opportunity in the NFL. The main remaining question from the trade might be, who plays quarterback for the Dolphins this season?
