Royal household split - Prince Harry and Meghan go at it alone

It's absolutely not the case that the taxpayers or the royal family paid for the cost of the jet.

The actor and director called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a "really wonderful, loving couple", in an interview with ITV's "Good Morning Britain" on Friday.

The prince knew the parting of ways from his younger brother was inevitable, but was concerned about how it might look and wanted to be reassured that Harry would be well supported by Buckingham Palace.

Harry and Meghan have also appointed their own taxpayer-funded PR supremo, former Clinton adviser Sara Latham, with the rest of their new household funded by the Queen and Prince Charles privately. This has reportedly been planned since the couple got engaged.

In addition to being in the public eye, Markle and the prince have also been preparing to move into their new estate at Frogmore House and split their household from Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton.

People reports the separation of the households-to be established in the northern hemisphere spring-has been approved by both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.

As Prince William is set to inherit the crown, it is thought that the household split is reflective of the difference in their working lives. However, Meghan and Harry will be living at their new cottage home, Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor later this year. Don't be fooled by the name, though: this mansion is anything but a cottage.

The member of the British royal family is over seven months pregnant with her first child with husband Prince Harry and has no future public appearances scheduled on her calendar - as of Thursday. Pretty soon, anticipation will start building about the baby's arrival, followed by the all the excitement that will come once the baby is born.
