Disney has shared the first full-length trailer for Aladdin, featuring additional footage of the most entrancing part of the new live-action film: Will Smith's blue Genie.

The movie, directed by Guy Ritchie, hits theaters May 24, 2019.

After the teaser was revealed a month ago, social media was not particularly thrilled with Will Smith as a blue genie.

Mena Massoud, who plays Aladdin in the live-action movie, took to Twitter to share the trailer.

- Aladdin has excellent eyebrows, and I'd like to know who threads these for him.

The two minute and 15 second trailer is a follow-up to the short, one minute snippet which dropped in early February at the Grammy Awards. We get to see a bit of Al doing his "street rat" thing, while Jasmine is primarily a pretty face in this trailer, although we at least get an ample hint of "A Whole New World". We've even seen Will Smith as the intimidatingly burly Genie of the Lamp.

He'll be on-screen alongside Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Will Smith as Genie. It looks like Will Smith is hosting SNL and they made a digital short mocking the trend of Disney live-action remakes.

Aladdin was first released November 25, 1992.

Other cast members are set to include Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), Navid Negahban (The Sultan), Billy Magnussen, Numan Acar, Frank Welker (voice actor from the original) etc.

As the classic tale goes, Aladdin promptly uses his first wish to make like Meghan Markle and become royalty.
