A breakdown of the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2019 free-agent signings.

According to USA TODAY Sports' Mike Jones, Foles will sign a four-year, $88 million deal with Jacksonville when the league year starts on Wednesday.

Foles took over for Carson Wentz down the stretch again in 2018, when a back injury ended Wentz's season, and pushed Philadelphia into a divisional playoff matchup at New Orleans.

The Philadelphia Eagles are key players in free agency.

Top four may be Tottenham's limit - Mauricio Pochettino
Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham will struggle if they don't work harder but also need to be aware of their limitations. I am suspended for two games, banned from being on the touchline, but I do not know the reason yet.

Philadelphia opted not to use the franchise tag on Foles, allowing him to hit the open market.

After leading in the fourth quarter of the 2017 AFC Championship and ultimately falling to the Pats, the Jags regressed badly last season under Bortles, posting a 5-11 record and going 2-10 in their final 12 games of the season. The Jaguars recently hired John DeFilippo as the club's new offensive coordinator.

On the other hand, if the Jags get the Foles we've seen late in the 2017-18 seasons, this is a great deal, however, the weapons now aren't on the roster for him to flourish. In 2016, Foles returned to Philadelphia to mentor Wentz and wound up becoming a fan favorite and a Super Bowl champion. He completed 59 percent of his passes for 17,646 yards, with 75 interceptions. He also lost 19 fumbles.

His release will save Jacksonville just $4.5m against the cap, while leaving $16.5m in dead money, unless Bortles is designated as a June 1 release. The Jaguars don't need Foles to come in and be a. ESPN reports $50.125m of Foles' contract is guaranteed.
