The card we're talking about right now is the SanDisk 400GB Extreme microSD card. Yes, you can get a decent phone for that, but does that phone have 1TB of storage?

SanDisk's card will be available from April and, while there's no local pricing just yet, it's set to cost United States $449.99 at launch, which translates to just under $700 Australian, so it's, uh, not gonna be cheap.

The SD Association published a microSD Express whitepaper.

Micron (NASDAQ:MU) announces its own 1TB card at Mobile World Congress. That's hardly a surprise considering that prices for existing microSD tiers, which ran up to 512GB until Monday morning, dropped significantly, so new products were likely inbound. Meanwhile the Sandisk card will cost a whopping $450 (roughly Rs 31,300). The Micron card is claimed to accelerate the data write pace by employing the Dynamic SLC cache, aside from performing automatic resource management for sustained peak performance.
