George Clooney Defends Meghan Markle - And Compares Her To Princess Diana


While attending the International Press Conference on Monday - on behalf of his upcoming series, Catch-22 - George defended Meghan and compared her treatment by the press to that of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

The publication also added that Meghan has no plans to comment on the situation, despite being "at her wit's end".

"Oh yes, I'll be godfather of the royals apparently", Clooney told Who, before clarifying he was joking, "No!"

Over the weekend, a letter Meghan wrote to her father, Thomas Markle, was revealed in the Mail on Sunday, where she begged her family to stop victimising her in interviews.

Her comments come in light of recent reports that Kensington Palace is spending hours each week monitoring their social media accounts to moderate the sexist and racist comments aimed at the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex and their fans.
