President Donald Trump will undergo his second physical examination as commander-in-chief, but will do it without Dr. Ronny Jackson, who gave him a clean bill of health before controversy struck the physician a year ago.

Conley adds that the 72-year-old president did not undergo any procedures requiring sedation or anesthesia.

His doctor then said the president was in "excellent health" but would do well to drop 10 to 15 pounds and shift to a low-fat, low-carb diet and take up a more defined exercise routine.

"The President is very grateful for the outstanding care he received today, and he especially wants to thank all the doctors, nurses, enlisted and civilian staff who participated", Conley wrote.

Trump will be at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center outside Washington later Friday for the physical exam.
