Future went on to say that he feels people are paying too much attention to the singer and the recently released docuseries "Surviving R. Kelly", which explores the allegations of sexual misconduct with young girls that have been made against him over the decades.

R. Kelly may now be under criminal investigation for sexual abuse, but that did not stop him from publically celebrating his 52nd birthday, and it certainly did not stop him from shadily addressing the controversy. "What I am hearing about the allegations against R. Kelly is absolutely horrifying and indefensible".

Kelly did more than just step in the name of love at his birthday celebration party in Chicago.

"In order to have an investigation we have to have victims and witnesses who are willing to come forward with information", Foxx said.

Nearly a year later, Kelly was arrested in Florida after authorities found digital images of the singer involved in sex acts with an underage girl, but those charges were dropped over a dispute on the search warrant.

TMZ reported that police received a call informing them that Kelly was at the club and there was a warrant for his arrest, but after officers arrived at the venue and made contact with the singer, they were informed there actually was no warrant. However, Prosecutor Kim Foxx from the State's Attorney Office said they've been in contact with two families who've dealt with the singer.

But if a number of alleged victims come forward amid the furor from the "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary series, it may also be helpful for Kelly should he face any new charges, said Chicago defense lawyer Joseph Lopez.

Savage and his wife have said repeatedly that Kelly has kept their daughter from contacting them since 2016. He was acquitted of engaging in sex acts with a 13-year-old in 2008.

Both Kelly and the girl denied they were the ones in the video, even though the quality of the video was good and multiple witnesses at trial testified it was clearly them. "No one has ever seen any evidence of it".

The 32-year-old added she had wanted to "create something extremely defiant and provocative because I was angry and still hadn't processed the trauma that had occurred in my own life".
