"Of course I won't, I don't want to", said the ever-smiling Norwegian yesterday morning (Singapore time), when asked after United's 2-0 English Premier League win at Newcastle United whether he would want to leave Old Trafford in May at the end of his planned interim spell.

The Red Devils' interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an updated regarding the team that could feature in the contest (Official Website).

Alexis Sanchez hobbled off with an injury but Solskjaer says he should be fine for Tottenham.

"I thought the Newcastle game was a great example of us not just getting the first goal and sitting back to counter". They have a process to look for the next manager but the more you're here the more you enjoy it. They'll go out there and they've got their careers ahead of them. I don't expect anyone to come in but, obviously, if the club have targeted and identified a few and I think they might fit here, I'll give my thumbs up. "It'll be a time to get some fitness work in and work hard with them", he said. "But that's my job, to improve players and individuals".

Reading, second bottom in the Championship and without a win in 11, battled well and troubled a flat-looking United at times and fashioned numerous chances that should have been put away.

Manchester United were 2-0 winners at Newcastle United on Wednesday night, having already scored 12 goals in victories over Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town and Bournemouth.

Romelu Lukaku, a scoring substitute in United's past two matches, is likely to be given his first start since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho last month and Alexis Sanchez is also set for his first start since November 7. Hopefully, [Marouane] Fellaini will get through the training session today and we'll be more or less a full squad.

"Because if the players then decide, for whatever reason, they are not happy, what are you going to do?"

The ex-England striker said on the BBC: "Solskjaer couldn't have done any more".

But just as Reading's hope began to grow along came Lukaku to extinguish it, keeping his cool when meeting a pass from Sanchez to round Jaakkola and roll into the empty net.
