Raiders GM Mayock to 'study' Carr before making long-term QB decision


The Oakland Raiders are set to hire NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock as their next general manager, reports's Adam Schefter.

Mike Mayock is on board to work with Jon Gruden and help rebuild the Raiders. On Monday, December 31, the first day after the conclusion of the regular season where most people are anxious about losing jobs, Mayock was hired by the Oakland Raiders. "I don't really know anybody who loves it and studies it more than Mike Mayock".

Reported surfaced on Sunday that suggested that Mayock had become a strong candidate in Oakland's GM search, and sure enough, the franchise made it official by bringing in the former National Football League draft analyst.
