George W. Bush sat across the aisle and greeted all of the presidents.

The 4,300-horsepower train will take Bush's casket and family and friends on the 70-mile trip from Houston to College Station, passing through five small towns on the roughly two-and-a-half-hour trip on Thursday, the Associated Press reported.

Along with Donald Trump and Melania Trump, former United States presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were seated in the first row of the Washington National Cathedral along with their spouses when Bush, the 43rd president took a moment to shake each of their hands.

After the lack of a simple hello, President Carter nervously checked his watch and turned his head away from the others to chat with his wife, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter.

With President Donald Trump, a sharp NAFTA critic, seated in the front row at Bush's funeral, Mulroney said Wednesday the deal "created the largest and richest free trade area in the history of the world" and was "recently modernized and improved by new administrations".

The Kansas Republican, 95, who like Bush was a decorated World War II veteran, was the Republican presidential nominee in 1996 against President Bill Clinton, succeeding Bush 41 as the standard-bearer for the GOP in the 1990s.
