A Lion Air plane has torn its wing after colliding with a lamp post at a Sumatra airport just over a week after Flight 610 crashed, killing all 189 passengers on board.

Lion Air said at its website on Tuesday that the remains of 27 of the 189 missing have been positively identified.

The AD followed Boeing's issuing of an operations manual bulletin (OMB), asking 737 MAX operators to remind pilots of how to handle "erroneous" information from the aircraft's angle of attack sensors.

There are also procedures for pilots to follow in the event of missing data from damaged sensors on the fuselage, but it remained unclear how much time the crew of flight JT610 had to respond at the relatively low altitude of around 1,500 metres.

Representatives of 737 Max operators, Singapore Airlines offshoot SilkAir, Garuda Indonesia and Canada's WestJet, said they had not yet received a bulletin from Boeing, Reuters reports. Pilots flying with an AOA sensor generating erroneous inputs to the system can experience the inability to engage the aircraft's autopilot system, among other problems.

However, it's unclear whether the warning is being issued because investigators have conclusively determined that a flight-monitoring system error was the cause of the crash.

Lion Air again, the airplane was ready for take off and hit a light pole at Fatmawati Bengkulu Airport, Aircraft Reg JT-633, Route BKS-CGK.

Transport safety committee chairman Soerjanto Tjahjono said airspeed indicator malfunctions on the jet's last four flights, which were revealed by an analysis of the flight data recorder, were intertwined with the sensor issue.

The Boeing 737 Max 8 had its first flight in January 2016. The device was replaced in Bali after pilots reported a problem with airspeed reading, the Indonesian transportation safety regulator said Wednesday.

It was not immediately clear if the issue in question was directly related to what happened in Indonesia, but Boeing said it is fully cooperating with the investigation.

"We will.conduct a special audit of the crews' qualifications and staff communication", transportation minister Budi Karya Sumadi told reporters Monday as he announced the probe into Lion's operations.

Aircraft and engine manufacturers routinely send bulletins to air carriers noting safety measures and maintenance actions they should take, majority relatively routine.

Boeing says that the 737 MAX is the fastest-selling airplane in the company's history, with over 4,700 orders to date.

Body parts are still being recovered and divers continue to hunt for the cockpit voice recorder.

More than a week ago, a Lion Air plane crashed into the sea 15 minutes after taking off from Jakarta.
