Samsung reportedly revealing foldable phone design tomorrow


The slow race to develop a foldable phone is coming to an end. Lee Kyeong-tae, Samsung vice president for mobile communication, has already promised the phones user interface will be on display, and sources told Reuters that detailed images of the device will be on display. It does hint that rumours were right that the device will function both as a tablet when unfurled and turned to a mobile when folded. According to a recent Bloomberg report, design of the foldable phone, codenamed victor, hasn't been yet finalised.

Although there is no official information about the smartphone's release, but it is expected that Samsung may unveil the smartphone at the Samsung Developer Conference, 2018.

The Samsung Foldable Smartphone is expected to be made official at the Samsung Developer Conference this week, although the handset is not expected to go on sale until next year.

Samsung Developer Conference (SDC), which is scheduled at Moscone West Convention Center, San Francisco on November 7-8.

The phone, which is expected to feature a tablet-sized screen that can be folded to fit in your pocket, has been rumored for nearly half a decade now.

Apart from Samsung, LG, Xiaomi and Huawei are also reportedly working on foldable phones.
