It's also unclear is if any of the original stars, like Bryan Cranston or Aaron Paul, are involved in the new project, which sources stress will be set in the existing Breaking Bad franchise.
The Journal also reports that the project now has the working title Greenbriar - though that could just be a holding name.

Hit US television series Breaking Bad may have achieved that rare feat - a ideal ending - but it doesn't mean that creator Vince Gilligan isn't planning to write an extra chapter in the drugs drama.
Breaking Bad had five seasons to chronicle the slow, maddening descent from suburban banality into criminal underworld for Walter White, a chemistry teacher diagnosed with lung cancer. Let us know in the comments. Gilligan created and has also directed episodes of Better Call Saul.
The sources say that Gilligan may direct the movie, and he'll be writing it as well as executive producing. Obviously, we'll be keeping our ear to the ground for further updates, and will pass 'em along to you as soon as they arrive.
