The 26-year-old has scored 39 times in 41 appearances for PSG since his arrival, but suggestions that the attacker is unsettled in France have gathered pace in recent months.

Recent reports linking Neymar with a Paris Saint-Germain exit have been described as "fake news" by the Brazilian star, who has denied that he is set to join Real Madrid or Barcelona.

According to the Spanish Newspaper, Neymar is said to have grown exhausted with life in Paris and wants to move back to Barcelona and be reunited with Lionel Messi. "Right now we can't give an answer because no one has even mentioned it", Cardoner told radio station SER Catalunya on Friday.

Barcelona Vice President, Jordi Cardoner has rubbished reports of Neymar's return to the club.

A number of different stories have emerged over the past few days that Neymar is "sorry" to have left Barça and feels the competition in Paris is not getting the most out of him as a player.
