I can show you a world... in which Disney makes a boatload of money by remaking a selection of their classic animated films as live-action movies. Plus, we see characters like Iago the parrot and Aladdin himself, both suggesting Ritchie's version won't be too far a cry from what we remember.

The marketing team probably didn't mean to give everyone a Last Crusade vibe with the first Aladdin poster, but it's too late now.

The new teaser offers up a great first look at the Cave of Wonders come to life, from the opening of the cave, to the vast expanse of treasure that's housed within. The actor shared a poster on Thursday with the caption: "Lemme out!"

The original Aladdin was released as an animated movie in 1992, starred Robin Williams as Genie and went on to take home two Oscars and earn $504 million at the worldwide box office.

Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, the Genie and Jafar are all back in action in the first trailer for Disney's upcoming "Aladdin". Led by newcomer Mena Massoud alongside Naomi Scott, Will Smith, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen, and Numan Acar, the first teaser has now arrived.
