The meeting, first reported by The New York Times, comes after Kanye's controversial September 29 Saturday Night Live appearance in which he gave an unscripted speech praising the President and denouncing the Democratic Party.

After Kanye West's very pro-Trump rant on Saturday Night Live last week, Ariana Grande took the opportunity to roast him a little bit on social media.

The White House confirmed on Tuesday a New York Times report that West plans to have lunch with the president.

In a statement, Sanders said topics of discussion with Trump "will include manufacturing resurgence in America, prison reform, how to prevent gang violence, and what can be done to reduce violence in Chicago".
