Amazon claims the new version is the most powerful streaming stick around (it's supposedly 80 per cent more powerful than its predecessor), featuring a new quad-core 1.7GHz processor, as well as a more powerful 802.11ac wi-fi chip and new antenna technology for "seamless" 4K streaming and quicker load times.

It's available here, it's cheaper than Roku's stick, and it supports both HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision - the first device to do so without ditching the stick-shape. The same shipping timeline goes for the single Alexa Voice Remote. The firm has also confirmed that as a part of the update, Amazon will bring Alexa support on all the existing Fire TV devices in India from the same day.
