We know nearly all of the specifications of the 2018 iPhones that are being announced this week, but the names remain something of a mystery. Question: will the next iPhones breach that level?
Apple's XC is rumoured to have a slightly less flash LCD screen which is pretty big at 6.1-inches.
Last year, Apple put the iPhone X on sale in early November, nearly two months after it was unveiled.
While the iPhone has made Apple the world's most valuable company worth more than $1 trillion, it has slipped to third place among smartphone makers as Chinese-based Huawei has grabbed the number two spot.
Also shown is the name of the 6.5-inch version: iPhone XS Plus.

Trump expects 'positive' letter from NKorea's Kim
Donald Trump has also blamed China for pressuring Pyongyang against Washington. And it's a case of "you've got mail" for U.S.
That means it is likely costs will be higher for variants with increased storage capacity.
If the $699 expected starting price of the 6.1-inch phone holds up, then that translates to roughly Dh2,600. Since the "X" stands for 10, rather than the letter in Apple's official naming, an XS would mirror similar "S" phones such as the iPhone 4S, 5S and 6S, rather than standing for iPhone "extra small" or "excess".
The headline announcement is expected to be a new iteration of the iPhone X with a 5.8in screen, possibly called "iPhone XS" according to reports.

There's a super-sized price coming along with it as well though - the iPhone XS Max is likely to cost €1149 in Europe, which is, well, loads.
Meanwhile, it added the iPhone Xs will start at €909 (£811.84) and the iPhone Xs Max will retail for €1149 (£1026.18). Apple does not comment on speculation or rumours. Obviously, because Apple hasn't launched its 2018 lineup yet, the full details for the upcoming handsets are seemingly missing from those listings.
