In the closing minutes of the series finale, after she revealed Dan had died and wielded the power of her character's fate like a god, Roseanne wrote in her book that love is stronger than hate.

John Goodman has broken his silence on the Roseanne drama that unfolded when the hit revival was swiftly canceled by ABC following a racist tweet from the sitcom's star, Roseanne Barr, back in May. With the new name The Conners, many also questioned how they would deal with Roseanne's absence from the program. The three young actors will all appear on the upcoming spinoff as series regulars.

The rest of cast is returning for CONNERS, including Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Michael Fishman, Sarah Gilbert and Lecy Goranson. Until "Roseanne" returned earlier this year, Goodman's character, Dan, was the one who had been killed off.

"I know, I know, for a fact that she's not a racist", Goodman had told United Kingdom publication The Sunday Times in an interview from earlier this week.
