Wildfires across California and the region could be further stoked by strong gusts, low humidity and hot weather on Friday and Saturday, forecasters warned.

Firefighters are working on strengthening containment barriers in order to prevent spreading to residences.

As CNN reports, the most recent forecasts from the National Weather Service clearly show the towers of smoke from the wildfires on the West Coast finding their way all the way across the United States.

But it was northern California where most air quality alerts were being issued, with warnings of "unhealthy conditions" for vulnerable groups such as the very young and old.

Cal Fire announced Friday morning that the blaze, which consists of the River and Ranch fires, has scorched 305,152 acres (476.8 square miles), an area larger than Los Angeles.

Although it's not the largest burning in the state, the Holy Fire has raised concerns about its effect on residential communities, including Lake Elsinore. Burning through nearly 177,450 acres, it was 48% contained on Thursday.

"This place is going to burn", Forrest Clark, 51, allegedly texted a volunteer fire chief two weeks before an inferno enveloped Orange County, burning almost 20,000 acres and destroying 12 homes.

With so many wildfires throughout the state, incident commanders initially struggled to get enough firefighters on the lines of the Holy Fire.

Throughout his presidency, Trump has made a point to target undocumented immigrants, whether they have a criminal record or not . Presiding over the ceremony was NY district director of the US Citizenship and Immigration Services Thomas Cioppa.

After nearly a month of wildfires, the National Weather Service warned that satellite images showed "widespread smoke" drifting from the fires into western and central Canada before heading back south in the US Northern Plains. He is charged with aggravated arson damaging at least five inhabited structures, arson of inhabited property, arson of forest and criminal threats, all felonies, as well as two misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest.

Clark made several outbursts, claiming his life was being threatened and said the arson charge against him was a lie.

Orange County Supervisor Todd Spitzer said, "This shouldn't be called the Holy Jim Fire, this should be called the Holy Hell Fire". Authorities say Forrest Clark intentionally started the fire on Monday after a dispute with his neighbours going back ten years.

The blaze, which has been dubbed the "Holy Fire", is threatening the city of Lake Elsinore in Orange County, home to some 60,000 people.

McGlover also faces a life sentence if convicted.

"He said this place "is going to burn just like we planned", Mike Milligan, 71, a volunteer firefighter who was a recipient of the texts last week, said.

Witness statements, physical evidence and burn patterns connected the man to the fire, said Shane Sherwood with the Orange County Fire Authority.

According to WGN9, Clark told a cameraman he was asleep when the fire started. "I reported this over and over again".
