Chelsea are keen on Liverpool target Nabil Fekir, but are facing an uphill battle to convince the France global to spend a season playing in the Europa League.

Fekir has recently reported for Lyon training following his World Cup exploits with France and during an interview, he has opened the possibility of a summer exit.

Amidst speculations of potential transfer and reports of Fekir being offered a new contract at the French Club, the 25-year-old has finally spoken up on transfer. "I had to work hard for that, and concentrate on every match to score, also I had to fight for it with a great players as Harry Kane and [Sergio] 'Kun" Aguero'.

At the time a statement on the Lyon website said: "Transfer negotiations with Liverpool and Nabil Fekir for the transfer of the captain of OL have not succeeded and Olympique Lyonnais have made a decision to put an end to this negotiation tonight".
