Apple released updated 13-inch and 15-inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro models on Thursday.
Apple also updated the laptop displays with True Tone, which the company says will deliver more natural colour.
The new MacBooks are also the first laptops to support the "Hey Siri" functionality to trigger Apple's voice assistant. However, as reported by The Verge, Apple claims the updated keyboard design only enables quieter typing and is not meant to solve any of the previously reported issues.
"We've already seen how Coffee Lake CPUs can boost mobile computing to new heights, and Apple is taking full advantage of that CPU range with the 15" MacBook Pro. Upgrades are available to bring the Core i9 into play, up to 32GB of RAM and 4TB of SSD storage - a max spec version now costs $6,699. The GPU that comes with the default configuration is the AMD Radeon Pro 550X with 4GB GDDR5, and with AED 420, you will be able to upgrade to the faster Radeon Pro 560X GPU.

"The move to DDR4 in the 15" MacBook Pro made me wonder about these systems' battery life, since off-charger endurance was one of the reasons the company cited for sticking with a maximum of 16 GB of lower-density LPDDR3 to begin with in its late-2016 and mid-2017 notebooks. Apple claims that this is their most advanced notebook ever and honestly we believe them.
The new MacBook Pros are also part of a Back to School promotion that Apple is announcing today.
The 15 inch is where most of the excitement is, and that's because of what Apple has added: six-core processors.
Most other things about the 15 inch MacBook Pro are the same, though, with a 15.4 inch Retina display showing 2880×1800 resolution, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, and the Touch Bar with TouchID sensor there, too.
To be clear, it's the 15-inch model that will offer the highest-end specifications, as it historically always has.
On the outside, the Blackmagic eGPU fits in with Apple's design aesthetic: it's extruded from a single piece of aluminum and uses a special cooling system that provides quiet operation (as low as 18dB).
