Prince William Caught by Kate Middleton Giggling at a Royal Event


William and Kate asked six friends and family members to be Louis's godparents.

Kensington Palace said William's father Prince Charles and his wife Camilla would be present along with younger brother Prince Harry and his wife Meghan.

Traditionally, royal christenings usually occur in Buckingham Palace, but for Prince Louis the royal parents chose St James's Palace in London.

The royal pair both attended Prince George's 2013 christening and Princess Charlotte's service back in 2015. It is a replica of the gown worn by Queen Victoria's daughter for her christening in 1841.

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby welcomed the royals at the entrance to the chapel.

BBC reports that Middleton was overheard saying Louis was "very relaxed and peaceful", and joked to the archbishop that she hopes "he stays like this".

The Duchess of Cambridge, who cradled her younger son in his lace and satin dress, was joined by the Duke for the 40-minute ceremony, with siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte holding their father's hands tightly.

But the decision for them not to attend Louis' baptism at St. James's Palace in London was understood to have been mutually agreed by the monarch and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge some time ago and was not health-related.

However the Queen, 92, and Prince Philip, 97, were notable absences as it was confirmed that they were unable to attend the christening service due to their busy royal schedules.
