Novak, world No 171, earned a big upset over world No 19 Lucas Pouille of France 6-4, 6-2, 6-7 (8-10), 3-6, 6-2, in a match that lasted almost three hours after Novak failed to seal the win in a gruelling third-set tiebreaker. Novak and Raonic will be squaring off for the first time.
"We speak a lot and I think he's played nearly against everyone already", Novak said of Dominic, who quit his first-round match at Wimbledon with a back injury.
"For the first set and a half I didn't really create much, especially on his serve", Raonic told reporters after the match.
The tips on Pouille appeared accurate as Novak raced into a two-set lead in less than an hour. One would think Raonic gets a favourable draw, but Polansky and Pouille thought the same thing heading into their matches.
"I don't know where he got them (the undies) from, but he walks everywhere", Millman said.

Cristiano Ronaldo Agrees €100m Juventus Move
He hinted he would be leaving this summer when he said: "It was very nice to be at Real Madrid ". Juve's problem is not Ronaldo, it's putting together the defence and the midfield .
His ranking prevented him from entering second-tier, let alone ATP, warmup events for Wimbledon, but having come through three rounds of qualifying in London, Novak is taking a liking to the surface.
"I have 48 hours to learn as much as I can, but luckily for me, my game is always about imposing myself on the other guy more so than adjusting to the other guy", Raonic said. I feel good, moving well on court, I feel like I'm doing the things well.
LONDON, ENGLAND - JULY 04: Milos Raonic of Canada (R) shakes hands with John Millman of Australia after their Men's Singles second round match on day three of the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on July 4, 2018 in London, England. "I know he is around Dominic Thiem quite a bit, training together, they share the same coach and prepare with the same off-season regimen", Raonic said of Novak ahead of their match. "I haven't seen him play".
Raonic's best preparation might be recalling what Thiem's tactics were last time he faced him.
