Eleven members of a family were found hanging blindfolded in their home in north Delhi's Sant Nagar near Burari on Sunday morning, said police.
"10 of the 11 family members were found hanging when we reached the house". At least some of them were blindfolded, gagged or had their hands and legs tied up.
Earlier a tweet by news agency ANI confirmed that the 11 members of the family include seven women and four men. The local residents of the area reported the matter to police and investigation is underway.
There were no bullet marks on the victims' bodies and there was no sign of forced entry into the house, Kumar said.
New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who visited the scene, called the incident "tragic".

Police official Rajesh Khurana told reporters that all angles were being investigated. The police have taken the bodies for post mortem at Guru Gobind Singh Hospital.
Their shop would usually open by 6 in the morning, but when it didn't till 7.30, a customer knocked on the doors to check and was shocked to see all of them hanging from the ceiling. The police was investigating the case and questioning neighbours and relatives of the family. The police are now examining the CCTV footage for clues.
