Gareth Southgate's men secured England's biggest-ever World Cup win and scored five by half-time, leaving Panama boss Gomez fearing just how bad things could get as England comfortably dealt with their rough-house tactics.

"We don't want to be thinking too far into things and getting caught up in all that sort of stuff".

The England striker grabbed the game ball and kept it in his grasp after scoring a hat trick in his team's 6-1 win over Panama on Sunday (Monday NZT).

England's hero against Panama was Harry Kane, who joined Geoff Hurst (1966) and Gary Lineker (1986) as the only Englishmen to score a hat-trick in a World Cup.

With Kane locked up by the physical defence, the tall centre-backs took center stage and Stones found the back of the net twice against Panama.

The third goal was "probably one of the luckiest ones of my career, " he said. He was credited with a third in the 62nd minute, although it was a fortunate deflection off him that wrong-footed Panama goalkeeper Jaime Penedo.

They are opportunities to score goals, no matter who the opposition are.

After the game, RT special guest host Schmeichel, who himself had a stellar club and worldwide career, including wining the Champions League with Manchester United and European Championship with Denmark, praised the prolific England and Tottenham striker.

Kane has scored a tournament-leading five goals at the World Cup in Russian Federation, one more than Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku.

However, Panama refused to lay down and were rewarded with a 78th moment that will go down in history - their first World Cup goal.

Based on our form, I can not think many sides will want to play us so, rather than looking at who we might want to play, or avoid, let's just concentrate on winning the group.
