Celebrity Chef, CNN Host Anthony Bourdain Found Dead in France Hotel

The celebrity chef and travel muse inspired a generation of cooks, chefs, and writers.

The former Charmed actress isn't alone in her shock with tributes pouring in from stars since across the globe.

Bourdain's death comes three days after American designer Kate Spade, who built a fashion empire on her signature handbags, was found dead in her NY apartment of suicide on Tuesday.

On Friday, CNN's website was draped in black in memory of Anthony Bourdain.

Bourdain, born in NY in 1956, graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in 1978 and first became known for his 2000 book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly.

Anthony Bourdain's death left an inimitable gap - not only in the culinary world but all across the globe too - where he advocated for the marginalised and highlighted the diversity in every cuisine.

It also did not sugarcoat the mental health challenges the industry is rife with, including drug use, drinking, and addiction. "It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain", the network said in a statement Friday morning. He journeyed to places like Beirut, to Libya, the Mississippi Delta, Punjab, Jamaica, to Vietnam with sitting President Barack Obama, to Peru, and beyond.

Bourdain's "Parts Unknown" seemed like an odd choice for CNN when it started in 2013 - part travelogue, part history lesson, part love letter to exotic foods. Argento said she was "beyond devastated" by his death and asked for privacy both for herself and his family.

Bourdain said he really had no idea that anyone outside the world of chefs would even pay attention to his comments. "I think about some of the things I've said about Paula Deen, for example, and I wouldn't do that now..." So I trucked my way down to lower Manhattan and waited in line for an hour. People are in unmanageable pain.

If Halep was able to handle the cross shots of Muguruza and Kerber, she should have the ability to control this match as well. She is one of two semi-finalists - alongside Garbine Muguruza - who are yet to drop a set this fortnight in Paris .

Putin tips Russian Federation sanctions to be lifted
Putin is in Vienna to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the completion of a pipeline that transports Russian gas to Europe. Putin mentioned seeing a German news headline declaring, " Donald Trump pushes Europe into Putin's arms".

One user replied: "You were the first person who came to mind hearing the news".

Throughout the episode, Bourdain switches between his culinary explorations and highlighting the heroin epidemic in MA. Sure, he appreciated fine dining (his "No Reservations" episode about Spain's legendary restaurant El Bulli is a series highlight).

Tesar said what bothers him the most about his friends death is that could have been prevented. "Then you were still an essential part of the economy". "Is there some vast demographic of pumpkin-crazed people hanging outside of whatever the pumpkin outlet is, like a methadone clinic waiting for them to open up so they can get their pumpkin spice?"

Gladys added that Eric Ripert told her "Tony had been in a dark mood these past couple of days".

Bourdain's influence goes far beyond those he met during the episode of The Layover.

Bourdain was born in NY, grew up in New Jersey and called himself a bad New Yorker - admitting that he tended to revisit the same places he had been going to for years.

"That was very shocking when I woke up this morning", Trump told reporters before heading to the G7 Summit.
