Samuel Umtiti and Barcelona have reached an agreement to extend and improve the French central defender's contract.

Samuel Umtiti has agreed a new five-year deal with Barcelona, ending speculation that he could leave Camp Nou this summer.

Les Bleus beat Italy 3-1 on Friday evening, with Umtiti opening the scoring, and are still to play the United States before making their journey to Russian Federation.
